Lauren Torrisi-Gorra
Lauren Torrisi-Gorra, MS, RD is a registered dietitian, chef, and writer with a love of science and passion for helping people change their lives through nutrition. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from Fordham University and a Grand Diplôme in Culinary Arts from the French Culinary Institute. It was at the French Culinary Institute where Lauren discovered how difficult it was to eat healthy in a world full of butter. (And she loves butter!) She then honed her culinary techniques at some of NYC’s top restaurants. It was during this time that Lauren was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, and she began to further explore the world of nutrition.
Empowered with an appreciation for food and good health, Lauren completed her master's degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University, and dietetic internship at Montclair University.
Lauren currently lives with her family in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Follow her @formenutrition_ to learn more about what she’s up to.
